There’s something so special about photographing babies. One moment they’re tiny and curled up in your arms and before you realise it, they’ve grown and changed more in twelve months than they ever will again.

The newborn stage is beautiful, but watching babies grow, explore and reveal their personalities is pure joy. Although newborn sessions and first birthday cake smashes are popular, I truly love capturing the in-between months of a baby’s first year.

Between seven and ten months is a wonderful time for photos. Babies at this age are curious, playful and full of expression. They often sit happily on their own, showing off those irresistible little rolls that vanish so quickly once they start walking. I adore catching the moment they grab their toes or give one of those sweet, cheeky smiles.

For me, baby photography is about remembering every detail, from the curl of their tiny toes to the softness of their wispy hair, and freezing this short but magical stage in time.
